It is strongly recommended that all instruments returned for service and calibration, are sent in the original packaging, if available, or a carton suitable for carrier transit. If the instruments are kept in a kit case then we would recommend that this is also used. It is also recommended that, where applicable, removable sensors or assemblies are disconnected and packed securely to prevent damage in transit. Castle Group Ltd can accept no liability for instruments damaged in transit.
All Standard Castle Calibrations come with a nationally traceable calibration certificate, which can be used for quality records and reference in any official reporting.
The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) oversee the traceability and accreditation of all types of calibration in the UK. For a service to be UKAS accredited it must meet the exacting standards of that organisation and must pass an annual audit.
If you would like a UKAS accredited calibration for your equipment, then we can do that for you, just ask.
To keep the cost down for you and to make the whole process as straight forward as possible, we will provide and fit basic spare parts where they are broken. This can’t unfortunately stretch to everything and so major components that need replacing will be done so at the best rate we can.
Castle Group Ltd is now able to offer a collection service from any UK postal address. All that is required is that the instruments are securely packed ready for transit (please refer to our note on packing for transit). Prices for this service are available upon request.
